On 23 Jun 2008, at 8:30am, we - Team McD Juru - headed off for a picnic at Penang Water Sport Arena, Tanjung Bungah.Even though God sent us non-stop sky juice,(raining for whole morning), it never stopped our energy for all activities as planned.(Usually we never play in rain, we just like back sink water… very stinky huhhh…) A lot of games were conducted and the most challenging one was AMAZING RACE. Every team was given clues and had to complete their challenge at 7 Pitstops - finally all teams had to dive into the blue sea to find their very own "ikan siakap". We had to cook the Siakap with all the items provided ... the end product was judged on taste,appearance,texture and food safety.
And then hooray !! MANDI TIME … Finally we had a chance to throw all our managers in the sea even though we all had a great BBQ high tea served by managers.
Last but not least, the long-awaited announcement ... The winner is BLUE team followed by Red and Orange! Everyone's a winner - we got a McD T-shirt each and also lucky draw.
We owe a very big 'thank you' to the SM, Managers and Crew for making this picnic fun and enjoyable ... which goes to show that we are not just about cooking and serving burgers.
We hope to have picnics every year (so we got more chance to throw our managers in the sea ... hehehe !!!)
